Yoni (Lingam base)

The Lingam (the black upright stone) is a ceremonial object found primarily in India. It sits in a base called a Yoni that is usually round with a trough extending forward and sometimes elaborately carved with images. For this client I created a contemporary Yoni that references the traditional shape. Photo: Jim Johnson
